On December 19, 2016, the 2nd annual conference on the topic of “News in the Russian Civil Code and regulation of legal relations in corporate law” took place in Moscow, organized by REGENT CAPITAL. Pavel Kislovskiy, Senior Associate atCapital Legal Services, gave a report at the conference on the issue of Part 2 of the Russian Civil Code not being in line with the philosophy and logic of complex integration construction contracts (EPC contracts). In his report, Pavel spoke about the particulars of using the EPC model in construction, as well as on some of the differences between the traditional model and the turnkey contract model. Pavel stressed that the use of this model is very popular in infrastructure projects in which the government is a party, as well as in international construction projects. Pavel’s report caused a lively discussion among the participants.
