On October 27, 2016, a regular meeting of the Tax Committee of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) took place, where Capital Legal Services Senior Associate Anastasiya Kuzmina and Associate Ekaterina Smolovaya were invited.

At the meeting, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, Anastasiya spoke about the thresholds of the powers of the Russian Federal Tax Service as regards cancelling decisions of subordinate tax bodies, allowing to overcome the principal of “non-acceptance of a turn for the worst.” Ekaterina spoke about the latest significant legal positions of the Russian Supreme Court adopted in the fall of 2016. Both reports touched on vital issues and raised great interest both from colleagues from other law firms and business representatives.
