On September 15 and 16, 2016, the Russian-China Investments in Innovations Forum took place in Moscow.

The focus of this closed event for Russian and Chinese venture and institutional investors was studying the investment opportunities of the Russian and Chinese markets in technology and innovations. Irina Onikienko, Partner at Capital Legal Services, spoke at the forum. In her report titled “Protecting exclusive rights to software when entering the Chinese market,” Ms. Onikienko spoke about the particular nature of software copyright protection in Russia and in China and suggested recommendations for protecting them when entering a foreign market.

The forum’s organizers and participants noted the significant interest in this forum topic and voiced the intent to hold it next year – this time in China.
