On April 3, 2015 SPIBA concluded the results on the election of three members for the SPIBA Executive Committee.

Upon results of the voting, Igor Gorokhov, Senior Associate at Capital Legal Services, was re‑elected as co-chair of the SPIBA Legislation and Lobbying Committee.

In 2013, Igor was elected as co-chair of the Committee for the first time.

One of Igor’s achievements was significant de-formalization of the communication environment within the Committee and an active extension of this approach to the entire Association. The approach is aimed at developing face-to-face communication, sharing of opinions and experience between lawyers, businesses and other representatives of the SPIBA audience. As part of this practice, a new format for internal events was created – the Legal Debate Club, uniting lawyers regularly to discuss current issues. De-formalization also includes measures to ensure effective sharing of information between highly specialized communities within SPIBA (such as lawyers) and representatives of various sectors of the Association’s audience.

Igor comments: “Upon results of my work in the Committee for 2 years, I am, as an expert practitioner, dedicated to continuing to implement our joint initiatives and projects which have proven their effectiveness. In the future, I see my role as ensuring further growth of the contact base, increasing the number of meetings that are of practical nature and developing expertise of the Committee, which today is of particular importance.”
