A proactive approach of the Russian antitrust authorities adopted several years ago, as well as dynamic development of the antitrust legislation, including calculating and imposing penalties and holding companies liable for committed violations have given certain results, and today companies doing business in the Russian Federation see antitrust regulation issues as some of the most significant among other legal questions arising in the course of conducting business on the Russian market.
