The Center has existed since January 1997. It is a non-governmental institution and therefore it receives no regular state support, but is sustained by people’s voluntary contributions, whether financial or otherwise. The children living in the shelter come from asocial homes whose parents are abusive, addicted to alcohol or drugs, live unhealthy life style, are deprived of their parental rights, or are currently imprisoned.
