This is the sixth award already that the Pulkovo project has received. At the beginning of 2011 the Project Finance journal (Euromoney group of companies) gave the top award in the  European Airport Deal of the Year category, and the Infrastructure Investor gave it four awards in several nominations, including International PPP Deal of the Year and European PPP Deal of the Year.

The Pulkovo airport development project is the first successful airport PPP project that uses international PPP standards and provides for financing by international credit organizations. Project financing was syndicated by commercial banks headed by the IFC and EBRD. Aggregate investments totaled 1.2 billion euro.

Capital Legal Services as legal counsel represented the interests of the St. Petersburg Administration at all stages of the project implementation. CLS attorneys were able to find successful solutions within the framework of local and federal laws, including those concerning most complex issues that surfaced having to do with the principal novelty of the PPP scheme.
