The sailing regatta in the center of St. Petersburg was an exceptional event in the life of the city. The most spectacular sports event of the season finished in June 27-28, 2009. Thousands of spectators, intense attention of the mass media, and flashes of cameras accompanied the event… The Volvo Ocean Race Finish will linger in the city’s memory.
